Kumasi Institute of Technology, Energy and Environment (KITE) offers unique internship opportunities to both graduate and under-graduate students providing interns with relevant exposure to evidenced-based policy issues relating to the renewable energy, conventional power, oil and gas and environment/climate change sectors. The internship also allows candidates to bring new perspectives, innovative ideas and latest research experience into KITE’s work and improve their skills while working in a diverse environment. Interns will be based in our Accra Office and will have the opportunity to attend our internal meetings, public events, organizational development programs and workshops. An internship at KITE is an opportunity to learn while gaining useful practical work experience.
1. Candidates must have at least a Masters degree and/or be enrolled in a graduate study program (i.e. pursuing a master’s degree or PhD). There is no age limit.
2. Must have academic background in at least one of the following disciplines: economics, renewable energy, natural resources management, mechanical/electrical/petroleum engineering, project management, public policy, urban planning, development planning, project finance, climate change, environment and other related areas.
3. Must possess a solid research and data analysis skills coupled with a strong writing ability.
4. Ability to communicate to a wider audience.
