Ms. Theresa Osei Tutu

Ms. Theresa Osei Tutu has spent the past thirty years providing advisory services to projects; writing feasibility reports, sector studies and strategic plans; delivering training and undertaking awareness-raising campaigns.  She has also been involved in negotiating and raising funds for developmental projects.  She has in-depth and extensive knowledge of financial sector functioning and management due to consultancies with various international agencies such as the World Bank and UNCTAD. Theresa was the principal consultant for the International Finance Corporation in the preparation of the Leasing Surveys in Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.   She was part of a team that put together a Business Plan for the establishment of Centres for Innovation and Enterprise Development, in four African Countries – a venture spearheaded by the IDRC of Canada and the UNCTAD. She was also the team leader for the Sensitization and Awareness Raising Components of the Fufulso – Sawla Road Project, as well as the Awoshie – Pokuase Road Safety Sensitization Campaign. She holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana.  She has natural competencies in training and communication.  She started THCLR Ghana Limited in 2004, a soft skills and consulting firm.  She has since developed training courses in attitudinal change, corporate grooming, corporate governance, customer care, communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, strategic planning, team building and time management, and has directly trained over 2,000 individuals from 300 firms. She was on the Investment Committee of Africa Rural Energy Enterprise Development Program (AREED), a fund supported by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), has served on the executive council of Kumasi Institute for Technology and Energy (KITE, an NGO promoting sustainable energy in Africa) since 1996 and currently serves as Chairman of their Executive Council.
