Prof. Daniel Incoom
Prof. Daniel K. B. Inkoom is currently Head of the Department of Planning, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Post Graduate certificates in International Development Studies from the University of Oslo, Norway, Forest Policy Analysis from the European Forest Institute (EFI) in Joensuu Finland, and Certificates in Gestalt Approach to Organisation and Systems Development from the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He also holds a Doctoral Degree from the Faculty of Spatial Planning of the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany.
Daniel teaches courses in Planning, Environmental Policy Analysis and Organization Development Consultancy at the Departments of Planning, Theoretical and Applied Biology and the Business School at KNUST, and has been a PhD External Examiner to Chalmers University in Sweden. Currently, he is External Examiner at the School of Architecture and Planning of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, the Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the Institute for Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Cape Coast, and the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a reviewer for several international journals.
Prof Inkoom is the Current Chair of the Steering Committee of the Association of African Planning Schools (AAPS), based at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and has consulted extensively in his areas of expertise for several local and international agencies including Action Aid, DanChurch Aid, ECOWAS Commission, GIZ, IITA, KfW, Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd, TEARFUND (UK), UNDP, UNCDF, The World Bank Institute (WBI), and the World Bank. He also sits on the Boards of a number of Organizations and is Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Eagles Temple, Tech, Kumasi.
