Project Overview:
KITE enabled Ghana’s participation in the global carbon market by developing CDM projects, supporting future carbon trading, and building local capacity.

KITE’s Role & Impact:

• Identified and developed a portfolio of CDM projects.
• Supported project developers in formulating Project Identification Notes (PINs).
• Organized national workshops and stakeholder consultations.
• Developed Sustainable Development Criteria for project approvals.
• Produced a CDM Investors Guide and maintained a CDM/Climate Change portal for Ghana.

Outcome:
The project positioned Ghana to participate effectively in carbon markets, promoting sustainable energy projects and climate-friendly investments.
