Project Overview:
This project facilitated the completion of Ghana’s Energy for Poverty Reduction Action Plan (EPRAP) under the Global Village Energy Partnership. The goal was to align energy interventions with Ghana’s Poverty Reduction Strategy and ensure a participatory approach with all stakeholders.

KITE’s Role & Impact:

  • Coordinated consultations with seven main sectors identified in the GPRS I & II.
  • Developed 11 Project Design Documents (PDDs) on priority energy interventions.
  • Created a national database of energy projects.
  • Established a Multi-Donor Forum for stakeholder coordination.
  • Designed a Monitoring & Evaluation Framework for EPRAP implementation.

Outcome:
The project provided a roadmap for Ghana to implement energy initiatives aimed at poverty reduction, enhancing collaboration across sectors and guiding evidence-based energy investments nationwide.
