Project Overview:
KITE contributed to a roadmap for deploying 15,000 net-metered solar PV systems in Ghana, focusing on technical, financial, and capacity-building aspects to expand distributed solar energy.
KITE’s Role & Impact:
- Conducted literature reviews and stakeholder mapping.
- Interviewed utilities, private solar companies, and industrial energy consumers.
- Developed templates for service connections and agreements.
- Designed technical and financial frameworks for high-penetration net-metered solar PV systems.
- Organized a stakeholder dissemination workshop.
Outcome:
The project accelerated distributed solar adoption, supported grid stability, and equipped stakeholders to scale renewable energy solutions nationwide.
